Clover Island is home to one of the wildest towns in the world of Filbar. While the town of Corsair Bay is recognized as the home of the Pirate Kingdom it is a fully functional town. This location sits at the midway point for those crossing the Newmack Sea and is a resupply stop for most commercial traffic pirate and otherwise. The ruler of Corsair Bay is the legendary, and somewhat retired, pirate named Hannibal the Black. This fearsome pirate now enjoys ruling the community and most of the explored areas on the island but his ship still waits in port for him should he decide to set sail again
After several successful adventures, you and your associates have found safe haven in the city of Acre in Dilad. While you enjoy a meal in “The Hole”, you learn of a recent theft of a merchant ship. A Captain Ibanez approaches your group and offers a job opportunity to get the missing ship back!
After a string of successful adventures, you find yourselves reequipping gear in the small community of Tarten. After an unusual currency exchange in the mercantile, the party learns that a group of adventurers had encountered some Goblins possessing old currency belonging to the Co-Tai people. Well, it ain’t grave robbin’ if someone else did for you!
Barbarian forces are handing out trouble to the combined forces of the Inydo Federation and your assistance has been requested! You have been told that the aggressive forces are being bolstered by a rumored, powerful wizard. The general of the military has asked you to skirt around the major engagement areas and attempt to locate and capture/kill the troublesome wizard. A major windfall will be given to the PCs as Xalo Mendas, leader of Helvana is known to add treasure to agreements if handled “effectively”.
When you wander the wilderness you run into the strangest things. Nestled in the middle of a few mountains in a volcanic basin is a strange temple structure. This is the final resting place of the legendary warlord Khan Sing. A hero among the plainsmen, this ruler was believed to have grabbed power with the assistance of a magic weapon known as the “Blood Mace”. Will the party’s investigation find this mysterious artifact?
Sitting at the mouth of the Saint Torgoth’s Causeway leading to the Newmack Sea is the port city of Civille and home to the baron of the land. This former fishing settlement has grown in the last century to be a stronghold for the Baron Philostratos de Civille as well as a financial boon for the entire area. In growing itself into a small seaport this city has been able to increase income by a factor of five. While the port itself brings in a significant amount of goods it also acts as a travel point for the Caravan Masters. This location is one of the main areas for the FD series and can be used as a base of operations
As a pair of fresh faced adventurers yearning to show the world what you have you can almost taste the action, but you haven’t found any yet. While on the road a local farmer tells you that the Thorp of Templeton is looking for someone to find their missing ferryman. While the farmer doesn’t have many details the thorp in question is less than half a day’s walk from where you are. As you wander down the road with your friend you both revel in a job as easy as finding a drunken boat captain!
While strolling through the streets of Kak you notice a pair of men laying in the alley. Upon closer inspection you notice that one of the dead men has a unique tattoo. Peering closer you notice that this man, dressed as a pirate, has a tattoo of an island with an “x” on it! Once this tattoo is discovered the PCs will need to locate a ship to head off on a treasure hunt. Finding a ship captain that is familiar with Xodus Isle will not be difficult but trusting the captain…well that’s a different story entirely.
Off the Coast of Clover Island and less than a league away from Corsair Bay is the wreck of the Golden Rose a ship of fame. The Tome Lord from Corsair Bay is looking for a few brave adventurers to go out, find the ship or what remains of it and locate a specific item for him. While the mysterious sage won’t explain what the item is he will tell you that it is protected by mighty magical glyphs of protection so simply obtain the box and bring it to him for the reward. Rumor has it the ship was laden with a great deal of treasure which is free for the party’s taking but the Tome Lord wants the box. Is your party up for a little underwater jaunt?
The Filbar Quest series continues with FQ8 – Uprising of the Undead. As you continue to pursue the lost pages from the Codex of Gamber Dauch (Daw-sch) you quickly discover that the dead have risen from their graves. A rogue mage known as Mortatus the Wicked has discovered the emerald pages from the ancient tome and is using the powerful magic to raise an army of the dead. Your cleric had better be in good graces with their deity!
With your fame building in the Great Plains of Dorack you have received word of an abandoned temple that has been showing signs of life. Years ago the followers of the old deity Sobek built a temple to honor him. The cult died out after a successful raid by Plainsmen who looted the complex after killing off the monks who inhabited it. A few days after the temple sacking the chieftain responsible for the attack fell ill and died of a mysterious disease. As it was believed a curse befell the warlord, the area was abandoned and considered taboo. Lately strange lights have been seen near the old temple and a giant stone alligator has been spotted in the area. The Plainsmen cannot go to the area as the old taboo is still in place and have asked your party to investigate.
A cemetery is nice but an entire city of the dead.....THAT'S an adventure. At 29 pages this adventure a large number of challenges for a party of higher levels. Set in the famed Adurite city of the dead this adventure offers many challenges to a party. What lies within? What treasures may be found? This adventure is not for the faint of heart. With over ten area maps and multiple pictures of areas the party may find, this is a full adventure. Are your players ready for a big adventure?
Far2 – Discord at the Docks is a short adventure based in the city of Phoenix in Fartook. Similar to Far1, this adventure is for low/novice level players. The adventure begins as your ship docks in Phoenix and you and your group debark. The scenario was designed for five players and gives them a variety of small problems to tackle. The PCs were on a delivery mission but mistook a subject on the dock as the intended recipient. The true owner is not pleased at the foul up and demands the party fix it IMMEDIATELY. Part of the inspiration for GenCon 17’s adventure, this scenario gives a number of “inconsequential” encounters that bring depth to urban adventuring!
The final adventure (maybe) in the Provincia series is Dungeons of Harvick. Deep below the ruins of the once great city lie twisting tunnels and rooms filled with danger. While clearing the ruins above was no easy feat, clearing out the winding corridors below will challenge even the most courageous of delvers. Do your players have what it takes to eliminate the danger of the depths?
This adventure has it all for an upper level group of players. With the rumor of a lost wizards staff on an island, the chase is on to find this powerful piece of magic. It is an adventure designed to interrupt a party of adventurers who are going from point A to point B. on a message delivery assignment. While on the mission the party runs into a blizzard, pack of wolves, and a rogue band of humanoids attempting a roadblock! Can your party deal with this growing problem and survive?
FN11 – The Amulet of Dorian Beldor begins as a race to catch a fugitive from justice and quickly escalates into a much larger problem. With over 40 pages and 8 different maps this adventure has your party stumbling onto a former city covered by a rock slide now inhabited by a large group of humanoids. Buried deep within the complex is the ancient relic that controls elementals and will be quite useful as the Filbar North series winds down.
His holiness has summoned you to the great temple and asks a favor of you. He has explained that national spies have tracked down the notorious pirate/criminal, Molon Labe, has pulled into the port of Taco Del Toro. As an enemy of the state, the religious leader demands that he be taken alive. He has obtained a privateer to take you to the city known to be frequented by pirates and their ilk in order to catch the individual. He warns you that nothing good survives in the island city and to watch your back as you make your way through the mean streets!
With your last adventure complete you head to town to sell off loot, replenish supplies and to find a bard to tell your tale to so that your fame can increase. As the group goes their separate ways you are wandering through the muddy streets when a shriek is heard. You see a man stab a merchant and attempt to escape. With no time to gather your associates you call for your mount (or borrow one) and give pursuit! This scenario is a true solo meaning you don’t need a DM to officiate. It is suggested that a 4th level be used for “meatier” characters or 5th for those of less daunting stats.
The small village of Angst in western Famore has a humanoid problem. A missive on the message totem is calling for help to dispatch these pesky raiders. It is believed that they are working out of the abandoned Opair Keep. Locals gasp in amazement as the locale is well known to be cursed!
