At the borderlands between the Noteflame Coast and the Duchy of Starryshade is the small town of Bluffton. You and your party heard of strange lights in the sky there while visiting the capital city of Vandosia. Further research shows that merchants that passed through the area two days ago and saw the strange lights at night and it appeared to be powerful magic at work. A writ of salvage has been posted in Chandra's Haven: 500 gold coins to the brave adventurers who find Misthollow Castle and secure it for Salamon Castos, a wealthy merchant. Castos claims to be the scion of the noble family which ruled Misthollow and built the castle generations ago. Castos grudgingly agrees to allow the characters to keep whatever they find in securing the castle, though he insists on right of first refusal on anything of value. A hundred miles off the Chelish coast lies the remote island of Deepmar, where the House of Thrune sends prisoners to work in crystal mines, wresting valuable spell components from the depths of the earth. A month ago, all contact with the penal colony ceased, and now someone must discover what mysterious fate has befallen the prisoners and guards of this isolated mining operation.
This scenario is set in the small, isolated state of Sohdhor. This should be situated in an easily-defensible region, with a number of hostile and militaristic states nearby. A suitable location would be a valley amidst mountains, or on an island. (See Women in Roleplaying, Adventurer issue #8 for more information on Sohdhor).
This module is the first of a series of High Forest adventures. It includes a description of the village of Merric, including detailed NPC's. Merric has always been at risk of raids by the local Gnolls, but now word has come that the Orcs of the Greypeak mountains are massing to invade High Forest. The elders of Merric have decided to hire and groom an adventuring group to ensure they have a balancing force against the invasion. Soon it becomes clear that there is something far more dangerous than Orcs threatening High Forest and if the children of Merric will ever be safe again, someone needs to stand between them and the evils that lurk in the dark.
For those who trekked through Jeopardy Caverns and Urgoth’s Canyon a short trip to the north will land them on FV3 – Road to Kak. From this location the party can continue on their quest of fame and fortune with a variety of different encounters. Much like the canyon adventure this one presented different options of travel for a group of young adventurers.

Will your party survive the frostbite Frostbite Gauntlet? A sequel to The Great Trial, this module is an arctic, highly challenging gauntlet focused on exploration and combat, planned for fours 10th-level characters. The adventure can be also run as a one-shot or as part of any campaign for that level. For more information on The Great Trial, see at the end of this page. The module is divided in two parts: Chapter 1 The gauntlet itself, the party will be taken to a demi-plane against their will and from there, they have a simple goal: leave. However, a powerful undead guardian will make things difficult. The party needs to find some of the sources of power of Deathwings, the guardian, to weaken it and have a chance against it. Chapter 2 After leaving, the group will arrive at a cave complex made of stone and ice. A ancient dracolich names Icingdeath will chase the party, squeezing through the tight tunnels, always on the party' heels. Once out, the party is greeted by Aenor and offered their rewards.

The Blacktooth Ridge, fabled for its string of long abandoned fortreses, treasure houses, temples, and underground mansions lies far to the north and east of the civilized lands.
