Long ago, the eight tribes of the Softoy Valley put aside their differences and united in peace to erect a great monument to test the mettle of their young men and women. Only by defeating the challenges and guardian of the monolith could a child demonstrate their strength and wisdom to complete their coming of age in the community. All of the tests can be defeated by mind or might in recognition that each member of the tribe has unique skills that can benefit everyone. Although the tribes are long since gone, the monolith remains for adventurers to test their skills.
This introductory level scenario brings a new group of players into an area formerly controlled by the Tunnmaa Dynasty. This group of rulers was rich in gold and gems before collapsing. It is well known that their kings, known as Ga Mantse, were buried in underground barrows that are well hidden and protected by traps. South of Tarlac Keep and across Lake Lowe lies a dormant volcano and its set of caverns. This location is currently the home to the powerful Artillus Highwing a massive Black Dragon. Artillus and his mate were responsible for the destruction of Tarlac at the cost of his partner. Artillus lost most of his army that day and has since moved into the caverns and attempted to rebuild the army to set his revenge upon the area.

This adventure is suitable for four 6th to 7th level PC's and may be completed in a single session. Oithois the exceptional ice mephit and his foul underlings have uncovered a powerful relic at the entry to ancient ruins. The monstrous mephits seek to crack a hole between the material plane and their icy home world. Oithois plots to lead an army of elemental lackeys and conquer the civilized outposts of the north. This ice mephit has studied the machine and is confident he can open a gateway to the elemental plane of ice. PCs are approached by a frostbitten traveler, who pleads with them to assault the terrace. The adventurers must mount an attack against the mephits, contend with an unintentionally summoned young white dragon, and defeat Oithois upon the icebound terrace.

Barrow of the Culder is the initial adventure in the dangerous land of Provincia. Dungeon Full of Monsters is a modular megadungeon for use with Labyrinth Lord and other old school fantasy role-playing games. The megadungeon is composed of 50 individual sections, separated into 5 different levels. You can assemble these in any configuration you like, either randomly or not, either before the campaign or on-the-fly in play. You can also use these sectiosn on their own, without reference to the larger dungeon itself. It’s been a long few days of travel and the adventurers are tired of eating rations and sleeping on the ground. The road opens to a small town with an inviting tavern. The smells of grilling meat and ale fill their nostrils and the sounds of laughter and music float out the tavern’s door. Unlucky for the adventurers, they’ve stumbled upon Dragon’s Breath Tavern.
