After their Stormwreck trials are done, the characters take sea passage to Luskan on the trade ship the Western Wind, hoping to learn more about the mysterious egg thatโs come into their possession. The trip will not be easy, though, as an attack by sea-elf cultists, the threat of mutiny, and the escape of dangerous creatures from the shipโs hold all threaten to cut short the partyโs journey. And all the while, strange storms of shooting stars appear across the night sky like some sort of prophecyโbut of coming glory, or of imminent destruction? The loss of Skyreach Castle in Hoard of the Dragon Queen was a major setback to the Cult of the Dragon, but still only a setback.
