Townsfolk in the Daerns speak of a winter witch that has imprisoned the Yarl of the Frost Giants in Strangler's Deep, and until he is free the winter will continue to ravage the land, killing livestock and freezing townsfolk without the means to buy ever dwindling resources of wood. Can a party from Roslof Keep or beyond come together in time to find the truth to these rumors and set the ecological balance to right? This adventure is formatted to both 1E & 5E gaming rules.
A mining operation in the vast desert has failed to check in with the owners of questionable repute. The crime boss “Marmalook” wants to employ the party to go check on the mine and have them explain why there has been no contact. At the borderlands between the Noteflame Coast and the Duchy of Starryshade is the small town of Bluffton. You and your party heard of strange lights in the sky there while visiting the capital city of Vandosia. Further research shows that merchants that passed through the area two days ago and saw the strange lights at night and it appeared to be powerful magic at work. Vandosia was becoming stale anyway so a quick trip to a cartographer and you can be on your way to adventure!
Everybody's a fool for a lost kid. He wanted power but settled for scraps - for now. The outcast wizard Lertol has adopted two leucrotta, and their team is ambushing passing travelers and robbing them with no-one the wiser. The players first fall into this trap when the leucrottas mimic a lost child and a search party in the middle of a night at camp. If the players leave to investigate the voices, the wizard loots the camp while they are gone. The players can then follow the wizard back to his lair and get their treasure back. Pgs. 48-49 & 28
The Feystone Shards is an adventure for characters from levels 5-8, optimized for 4-6 player characters.
