After a riot erupts in the streets of Cauldron, the PCs must track down a missing paladin before the mob tears the city apart. The PCs try to stop an assassin during the riot and get invited to a meeting, where they are tasked to search for the missing paladin. After some investigating they will travel to Vaprak's Voice, an ancient Spell Weaver laboratory, at the edge of the Demonskar. Hidden in the remote southern range of the World’s Edge Mountains lies a mysterious necropolis known in legend as the Tomb of the Iron Medusa. The PCs follow the trail of some particularly competent kobold thieves to the lair of a dragon cult deep in the swamp. There they discover efforts underway to grant sentience to the skeleton of a powerful red dragon once named Flame. Eventually the PCs determine that trouble has returned to the Western Mountains in the form of a band of fire giants ruled by a clone of the original red dragon named Flame.

Stupid dwarves. You visit their delve, and they announce that they are all off to belt the living daylights out of some troublesome goblins. And can you go along? No chance, it's some sort of 'crusade' and they don't want outsiders along. So, all they are prepared to offer you is the honour of defending all the old dwarves and the kiddies and the others who haven't gone off on the goblin-bash. So, it looks like you'll just have to sit around and drink all the beer and be bored until they - Wait - what's this? A raid on a neighbouring delve; that's a stroke of luck. Now you can chase the raiders, beat them up, and then the dwarves will be grateful and you can drink some more of their beer. What could be simpler?

In Heart of Nightfang Spire, the player characters are drawn to investigate Nightfang Spire, a lonely stone tower in a barren land. The vampire lord Gulthias, servant of the great dragon Ashardalon, has returned to the tower which was once the main cult temple of Ashardalon. The vampire prepares for the dragon's return by awakening the other cultists who had preserved themselves as undead creatures. Gulthias is a vampire and a level 13 wizard.

The PCs are called on to assist in retrieving the legendary Scrolls of Thoth on behalf of Khemet III, the Ruby Prince of Osirion. Along the way, they discover the ultimate fate of the ancient Song Pharoah -- and potentially assist her in her journey through the Duat, the final series of tests that a Pharaoh must face in the afterlife. It was designed as a one-shot lasting approximately 5-6 hours, but could be run as a side-quest in the Mummy's Mask adventure path.
